EPFO had already done away with the old EPF forms which were first sent to employer for their verification and signatures, which used to take a lot of time and many a times employers used to harass employees because they had the power to block the EPF withdrawal. However with the new changes, withdrawing from your EPF account is very easy and fast.
Now, you can withdraw your EPF online through unified portal which makes it even more convenient for the members.
Step 1: Click "Unified Portal" to log into the member interface using your UAN and password.
Step 2: Check your KYC details. Go to the 'Manage' tab and select 'KYC' to check that details like Aadhaar, PAN and bank account details are available and are correct.
Step 3: If the details are OK and VERIFIED then go to the 'Online Services' tab and select 'Claim' from the drop down menu.
Step 4: On the 'Claim' screen you will find all your member details, KYC details and service details and below that, you will find 'Proceed For Online Claim' tab. Click on the tab to submit your claim form.
Step 5: Select the kind of claim you want to submit like PF withdrawal, PF advance or Pension withdrawal, under the 'I Want To Apply For' tab. If you are not eligible for any of the services like PF withdrawal or pension withdrawal, due to the service criteria, then that option will not be shown in the drop-down menu. Online claim should be settled in 5 days.

Now, you can withdraw your EPF online through unified portal which makes it even more convenient for the members.
Eligibility Criteria for Online Withdrawal
- The member should have activated his Universal Account Number (UAN) and mobile number used for activating UAN should be in working condition.
- Member's Aadhaar details should be seeded in EPFO database and he/she should have access to OTP-based facility for verifying eKYC from UIDAI while submitting the claim.
- Member's bank account along with IFSC code should be seeded in EPFO database. Details need to be digitally verified by your employer.
- Permanent Account Number (PAN) should be seeded in EPFO database for PF final settlement claims in case his/her service is less than 5 years.
In case you does not meet above requirements than go to EPFO e-sewa portal to seed your KYC details and get them verified from your employer.
Different Forms and their purpose
Below are the different forms which you may need to fill in case you decide to go for offline withdrawal instead of online.
Form 19 UAN : To withdraw Provident Fund when you quit you job. Ideally it needs to be filled only after 2 months of unemployment.
Form 10-C UAN : To withdraw EPS (Employee Pension Scheme). This need to filled if you have not completed 10 years of service.
Form 31 UAN : To partially withdraw from EPF while you are working. It an be for events like Marriage, Medical, House purpose etc.
