After reading my previous post, Stop Complaining: I've NO Money to Invest, few friends of my mine complained that it sounds very miser. Question arises, whether life is only about saving money and sacrificing, like what our parents did? I would say 'NO'. Life is not only about money but there is also no life without money. It's more about Love, Family, Sharing & Giving, . Life is more about spending time and energy doing what you love and admire.
I believe money should always be invested wisely and never be spent. Confused? Am i again sounding miser? Actually not, I believe money should be invested for newer experiences and create memories for future. It makes one thing clear, money is always invested for future, because once you retire you will have these memories to talk and savings in bank to survive.
In Queen movie, what Kangana earned was an experience which changed her life. Experiences and memories are non-tangible which are experienced by either investing money or doing social service. You go for a holiday in Goa and enjoyed it, it's an experience... You went for a movie on your anniversary, but found it boring, it's an experience... You celebrated your child first birthday, it's an experience... You moved to your new house, it's an experience... I bet experiences aren't always sweet as jaggery, but they always leave a memory either to laugh or to smile. You call a friend after a long time not to ask how much he is earning, but to know how he is doing... eventually talking about old days and remembering old friends...
Right now you may be thinking something in your head but the point which we should not forget that in today's world is money is also important. You need money to go for a holiday but you don't need money to enjoy holiday... You need money to plan your anniversary, but you don't need money to tell your spouse how special she is for you... You need money to eat food, but you need good heart to share your food... Money is the tangible part which is not necessarily needed for non-tangible memories but at the same time importance of money shouldn't be ignored. Money is always the evil. To go for a holiday, to watch a movie, to undergo a surgery you need money, to make a memory you don't. Love can't feed you, you need money to fill your empty stomach. This reminds me of a saying -
"Money is not everything, but you need money for everything"
So life is never about money, it's about investing your money wisely for your future, for your family health, to learn and live an experience.
